The ’63 at Eastside Speedway in Waynesboro, Virginia … Now
up-dated with tubular “A” arms, coil-over shocks, and rack & pinion steering.
At this point the original floor pans were removed and replaced with polished aluminum for weight reduction as well as for looks.
ENDERLE Alcohol Fuel Injection … This was my Mom’s idea! She was at a local speed shop thumbing through some performance catalogs while Dad was talking to the owner, as soon as she saw a picture of the injection set-up she asked the owner if they made it to fit our ’63 Fairlane … He told her “sure” … She told Dad that she wanted it for the Fairlane … Dad told her that she didn’t realize how much it cost … Even after the speed shop owner told her the price, she still told Dad to order it … And he did.
Our first “Stroker” motor … 514 cubic inches!
Although very small by today’s standards, at the time it was BIG! It had 429 “Super Cobra Jet” iron heads and Enderle alcohol fuel injection … Engine by Rob.
